I've been wanting to sell business cards for a long time but only got a stack cutter recently (a paper cutter that can cut a 2 inch pile of paper in a single slide, allowing me to make hundreds of perfect business cards in no time). The problem is I don't know where to start for designs, can I ask the customers to give me their own design or would they expect me to design their card? Is there any source of business card templates I could buy to offer to my customers? That's pretty much the only thing holding me back. Thanks
Templetes are hard because they make things look really, really generic. Asking customers for designs is ok but so many times people don't know what looks good and they end up with a poor looking card and that reflects on you! I would recommend www. OneOfAKindCardDesign .com They make custom designs, per client. you tell them what your looking for and they go to work. The reason this may be perfect for you is because they offer a "design only" price where they design and send you the digital file to make prints! I have gotten cards from them before and they look great (I had them printed because I can't do that myself) check'em out OneOfAKindCardDesign and its cheap so it won't cut into your cost that much to offer a full package deal. (I don't know but Im assuming its not expensive because they do alot of volume, i see them all over the place)
