Want to start a affiliate program - need advice

I run a membership based site & it currently has just over 60 paid members out of about 3500 activated users; the site retains members very well; but the income it brings in is more like pocket money rather than an income. If it had 10x the amount of members it has now then we would be talking.

The site has been around for about 18 months now & I've wanted to start an affiliate program on it for awhilw now, but I'm always held back by not being able to find a suitable program to house my site.

Most programs have whopping huge signup fees (cj.com for example), monthly fees (which isn't great seeing as the site doesn't make a whole lot right now) or other exorbent fees.

Also.. seeing as my membership fees are in the range of $1.99 - $12.99 I can't afford huge "per sale" charges either.... the affiliate payment + the CC processor fee already has to come out of this - so something % based would be better if they have a "per transaction" charge.

Could anyone recommend an affiliate house that would be good for me that has a decent sized publisher base & wouldn't be a waste of my time?

    Thanks a lot!

Thanks - they look alright but still carry a $350 sign-up fee & minimum $25 of fees to them each month (which at 0.20 per sale to them is 125 sales per month minimum).

you would probably have a better roi if you tried advertising through adwords than paying out affiliates

    Contact trienta.com

They are a bit of a smaller company but will still be able to meet your needs.

They are ran by Only Option Media, They also run britishrewards.co.uk that has over 104 THOUSAND members.

Thanks guys..... I figured that I think I'm gonna end up going with shareasale.... sure it's $350 to get in; but if you join cheaper programs than there is bound to be thousands more programs & hence will make your program harder to find.

Shareasale is also pretty well known so they should have a good userbase. :)
