To secure a forum: -Delete/rename your installation directory after you install the forum. -Don't use software that is not heard of as it may include security holes. -Use a trusted host that does not have frequent downtimes or DoS attacks. -Always make sure to keep your forum software up to date. -Only choose moderators and administrators that you know and trust, just recruiting randoms is not a good idea. -Never used nulled(stolen) software as they can come with malicous content. -Make sure your permissions are setup properly so that you make sure people can only do what you want them to be able to do. -Backup your forum frequently so if it is attacked, you can restore the backup and posts won't be lost.
