Hi everyone, Before posting a thread on Content Creation of BST thread, i would like to know everyone opinion about what i'm going to sell. I have a lot of nice & very good articles around my country, but all of them are in Indonesian language. If i do manual translate, and English isn't my first language, which mean there will be grammer or verbs errors, will anyone want to buy it for $1/articles? All articles will be 500+ words. Thanks for your opinion. PS: if i've put this on the wrong thread, please move.
People will buy $1 articles, but if you want to sell them for more, you should just take your time and translate them into something readable.
You could also advertise for someone to translate them into proper English and then sell them for a higher price. Regards, Laurence
Laurence makes a good point: Some people will translate them for you, but it's important to find someone who will actually translate them into "proper English". Most people you find will sling them through WordMonkey or BabelFish, then hand total Gibberish back to you. And if English isn't your first language, no offense intended, it won't be easy to determine the scam before trying to sell them. I'd advertise for a project manager, instead of a translator or editor, and get plenty of references from whomever you interview.
I agree with Annie. It is hard to know who you can trust. I am too new here to offer my services. But double and triple check who you do use before paying anything. A lot of people are scammers and they give us genuine people a bad name. Laurence
i'm thinking about to choosen person to make a statement that he/she will charge back for $3 if they can't deliver the article in 3 hour max, so i can charge he/she using paypal to prevent he/she stole my articles. what do u say?
Don't try to write in English. Go to an indonesian webmaster forum and sell your services there. No translation will equal the quality of your original work.
yea... but in Indonesia... there's no webmaster wants to buy article since they can produce it by themself.
You don't have to look for someone in Indonesia. I am from Singapore and I know some people who can speak and write both English and Bahasa Indonesia fluently. You can look for services from Singapore translators. The standard of English around the country's fairly good. Just my two cents.
Does everyone who speaks indonesian (is that the language?) write in perfect indonesian grammar? Do they create great flow and style? I've worked for a lot of people who speak English as a native language, and hey, they hire me. It's not all about the writing - it's about the benefits of the writing. It's all about getting in readers, or customers, or clients, etc. etc. Can you produce unique, interesting, SEO content that generates more readers? Well then people will start hiring you, even people from Indonesia who think they can do it themselves.
I'm sure you will have a good Indonesian writer who writes you a good and grammatical English. Shouldn't be that hard to find it
OP - Instead of selling hack articles in a language you are still learning... have you considered selling indonesian articles to English-speaking marketers interested in that market? You make more cash (since it has more value to your target market) and your competition will be limited. Of course, you may have to dig a bit more for clients but it would be worth it. My suggestion: sell the indonesian market, with your content as a doorway into it. I can't walk you through the motions of this... but... get my drift,no? Good luck... and send me a loan if you take the advice and it works :c).
Try to find the partner with good English which will edit and will advance your articles on the American market
if you just want to sell your articles for $1 - $1.50 etc, check out sites like microworkers.com. get paid by paypal.
