    Hello!

I have linked a debit card with my PayPal accout, it's verified. I have a Philippines PayPal account, by the way.
Any how, I wanted to remove my debit card from my PayPal account, since I feel it unsafe to have my debit card info online. So my question is, if I remove my debit card from PayPal account, will paypal limit me for this?
Because I till want to keep using my PayPal account.

    Any comment would be appreciated.

    Best Regards,
    HPA

I've had my PayPal account now for over 7 years and in all that time I have always had either a credit card or payment card attached to my account.

I have never had any problems with fraud or any such thing with PayPal as they are pretty secure. Just don't take any notice of all the fraudulent emails that are sent from bogus companies claiming to be PayPal and querying your account stats.

The easiest way to avoid this I have found is to have a separate email account purely for just your merchant accounts and don't use it for any other purpose. This way when you get the bogus emails come through your mainstream email account you know not to take any notice of them and simply hit the delete button.

The only time I had any problem at all with PayPal was when I came to change my home address with them. They have a phone confirmation system where a robot calls your house and you tap in a eight or nine digit code that was emailed to you. The system said I had tapped in the wrong code and subsequently shut down all my subscriptions.

I had to wait for land mail to send a letter and reply confirming my details. Meanwhile I had to contact all of my subscribers and explain I may miss a payment due to this action. Fortunately they were all ok about this and the whole problem was resolved fairly quickly, but initially I was in a bit of a panic.

I think as long as you use due diligence online and only use reputable places such as PayPal for credit details you should be ok.

I have heard about PayPal suspending peoples accounts when they start to get a massive influx of income going through their account so they are able to ascertain why and how the individual has managed to achieve this. Safety really and as long as it doesn't break any of their terms again things are resumed to normality fairly quickly.

None of the problems I've seen or heard about PayPal point to any fraudulent activities.

But if you do pull out your card details do you not think this will restrict you as you will have to leave a certain amount of credit in there in order to still use your account on any purchases, plus for top ups you will have to submit a credit cards details for them to take money from.

I hope this was of some use to you.

    Wishing you luck...

    Kind Regards
