Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by markroger, Dec 7, 2010.

I had bookmarking, directory submission, forum posting and blog posting for each keywords. The content of my site is pretty good. I had done on page optimization and the keywords are also less competitive. My site is pretty new. Is it so that is why I am not getting good ranking in SERPs. If no, tell me which strategy should I follow in order to increase the keyword ranking in SERPs.

    Please help me............

Your site might be sand box at the moment..sometimes it wil take up to 2 months before a site shows up for high targeted keywords.

you have to be patient. it could take months before you can see significant changes.

in the mean time you have to continue the link building effort.

Wait for 1-2 months. Add Google Analytic to your site, explore new horizons from their report and start optimizing those pages.

I often find new sites do badly for 3-7 months (average 4-5); for local sites, they are often bottom of page 1 to start with and then rise up towards the top after a few months, but I did have a site that was page 7 for 7 months and is then suddenly rose up to page 1 no 1 after 7 months. So yes, I personally believe Google puts some form of new website filter on new sites.

i think you underestimate your competitions. I have made this mistake too without even knowing. If you said that you have done all the steps for seo you should rank by now.

    It really various factors:

    competition,domain age,number of backlinks,quality of backlinks,on page seo.

depending on the niche i try to target one keyword and always make sure the keyword is in the domain. Heres a rough breakdown of my initial setup. Remember all good seo starts on page. Only when on page is 100% should you start getting backlinks.

    Breakdown:

    keyword in domain
    keyword in h1 h2 h3
    keyword in page title
    keyword in alt text (images)
keyword in content (page text) keyword density around 4%
content should be unique and as much as possible (google favour long documents over short)
i think that about covers on page (forgive me if i missed anything)

    backlinks:

theres a lot of mixed opinions about backilnks and how gooogle punish you for having too many too soon. but heres my take on that matter.

even if i created 1000 baacklinks every day google will not discover them all at once, so you can create as many as you want. but there is something thats important about link building and thats acceleration and velocity.

in short if you create 100 backlink one week and only 10 the next, this is not good link velocity. linkbuilding should be natural (or at least look natural) but a good starter is to increase the number of links either on day by day or week by week. say 10 day, then week 2 maybe 20 links per day and so on.

ok this reply is a little more than most so ill leave it there. pm me if you have any more questions. thanks

My site is pretty new. Its domain registeration date is 6/7/2010. While we have done the SEO of this site from Nov 3, 2010. We had implemented each and every technique from social bookmarking to the Forum posting, but My keywords are not showing even in top 500.

I had verified that my site is not in Sand Box. Is it so that new sites are giving less preference.
