    Want to make an online store but doesn't know about what? No big investment plans please, i will do its full SEO but it should be reasonable store to sell items online, and sale should be at least daily 3-4 customers,, suggest ideas please, thanks

    If it was that easy we'd all be doing it.
    Are you going to stock and ship physical products - or are you looking for digital products and services?
    Are you going to cater for your local market (which you probably understand better than any other) or are you looking at an international market?

    Need to start something online locally, not internationally because paypal doesnt work here at all so transactions is not possible, thanks

    There are many tools available to get an eCommerce website done but if you are looking for a basic start with small budget then wordpress can be a good platform otherwise you can choose magento or any other platform depending upon your requirements.

    Just make it SEO friendly and traffic will come. I created my store less than a year ago. It took time, but then organic traffic built up and customers came.

    Honestly, you need to look in to who you are going to sell to. Go around your town and find out what people want but don't have access to and say "hey if there was X would you buy it", if 80% say yes then you are looking at a potential store.

    try amazon. look for products in a niche. Almost the whole world is selling there and selling almost everything. Just a few months ago I saw someone selling cow dung cake on amazon.in! :eek:

    Yeah, it's made by mixing it with husk and other things and dried in the sun. They make good alternative to wood as burning material to cook food in rural areas. It is also used in religious events where "havan" or similar activities is a part of it. Cow is considered very auspicious in India and it's urine and dung are accorded the same status as well.

    One farmer in part of India made bio-fertilizer using cow urine as part of it, and he is a famous person now. he not only increased his farm produce multi-fold but also reduced the cost of using insecticides and fertilizer to almost nil.

    You shouldn't make fun of people's practices as they are usually traditional and have some ancient wisdom attached to it. In this case it is also religious. It could stir up quite a controversy. So you shouldn't make any negative comment about it.

    I think it's fine to be negative, but not to mock out of ignorance. Dung cakes seem to tick all the boxes for a sustainable, recycled energy source. There are other things I don't understand, like the need to add sugar syrup to coffee as is common in American culture. Neither discussion brings @ejaz ahmed any closer to deciding what to sell in his online store.

    I like to be controversial especially where religion is concerned, If anyone takes offence from a lighthearted comment they need to get a sense of humour.
    He could always try dropshitting...sorry dropshipping cow dung cake.:)

    EDIT, Just checked and it only costs £14(GBP) for 30 so probably not a viable business option....

    I guess we should divert our attention from cow dung cake to something that could really help the thread posters concerns. I am sorry for bringing up the topic in first place. But it was about amazon and not about the cake. It was just to illustrate that he could choose a niche for building his store if he looked carefully at what is selling successfully on it, or on ebay, and which he could target locally as well. That could have helped him. I think it was good advice for him to get started. Starting up is the biggest problem, after which one can pick up the string and keep discovering more.
