I am having a really hard time getting Google to index my website even though I have uploaded sitemaps, pinged to Google and other sites, social bookmarks. My website is boatso dot com and has been online sinse Dec. 18, 2010, can anyone tell me what's problem?
You need to get more links to the site. Currently only the homepage is indexed in Yahoo and Bing. Get more powerful backlinks to the site and you will get indexed.
Check with Google Webmaster Tools to see if they can see your site ok, if you post to it regularly it should be indexed no problem, so something must be stopping it. Failing that, get a paid directory link. IF you still don't get indexed after that, somethings up.
I have had a sitemap with Google Webmaster Tools since 12-18-10 and have resubmitted it several times the latest was today 01/27 and the status was OK Sitemap Status Type Downloaded URLs submitted URLs in web index /sitemap.xml OK Sitemap Jan 27, 2011 39 0 Yahoo is seeing a couple of links to the site - and I do believe that "somethings up", but what? I have over 100 websites online and have never had a problem getting a site indexed in Google before!
