I want to m earn $800 by the end of the year (well actually before February) so that when I go to college I will be able to go out and buy two screens to set up multiple monitors. I currently have one site www.petbetter.com and a few crappy domain names that I could create a site and sell in the BST section. My paypal balance is around $20 which will pay for my hosting for the next 4 months. How can I reach my goal and be able to afford these two monitors. (I could earn this easily offline and I already have a normal part time job but do not want to take it out of my savings). I would appreciate any feedback.
Interesting. The problem I see is that no matter what we advise you do, no success is guaranteed, because it really depends on how much you put into it. There is no guarantees in the web industry. Apparently people do make a lot of money by doing business in the BST section, so that may be your best bet until you have a really popular website with some good search engine rankings and the like. If you have a decent grasp of the English language and have a stroke of creativity you might be able to make 800 dollars writing copy for other people.
thanks for your help. I was thinking of starting copyrighting in September or October and could probably make that amount by the end of the year. I was thinking that instead I could write just as many articles for my own site however I am not sure if I will make as much profit.
Just start writing and posting on your own sites, guest blog, submit comments and you will start to earn...
Long term that's a great idea...but by directly selling the copy you ensure earnings, if you put it on your own site, it may not necessarily turn a profit for a few months...if then. So many elements you cannot control, but if you're going to be a college student it's a great idea. Down the road you won't have to do anything and will make money =).
Check freelance sites like RentaCoder or Elance and sign up for accounts there. You can EASILY make $800 doing writing jobs by the end of the year. I myself made $4500 (before taxes) from writing jobs on RentaCoder in just 6 months of solid work....and I was a newbie to it with NO reputation before I started. I don't know if they have it in Australia, but Associated Content is another possibility. You get paid $4-$10 per article and can submit unlimited amounts of articles. If you do 200 articles over the course of the year, you should earn your $800.
