    if u want learn everything from very beginning i recommended
    Adobe Flash® CS4 Professional Digital Classroom

    or maybe video tutorial from http://www.lynda.com/
    but not free

    I learned Flash 5 from the help.

    Start with some simple tasks (buttons, banners, etc) and try to do them in the program! Then just put everything in one whole Flash page (800x600px) and publish it on the web.

    In the help you can find all the things that you need as your questions occur in this process.

    It takes time and effort, but Flash rocks. Especially if you like minimalism in the expression. :cool:

    I like to use creative cow sometimes because it has free video tutorials... hope this helps!

    Great advise re Lynda. I learned with the Lynda video tutorials. Very clear instruction, easy to follow and excellent explanations of how Flash works. Worth every penny.
