Interesting, but you cant read what % you get from adsense out from that number. That is all Googles advertising income in total.

1/3 is about what I always figured we were getting. Not that bad really considering that before G many people here could not have made money from their websites. Still, I think I'll keep my GOOG shares a while longer :)

If that is true then google gets 3 cents a click or even 2 cents when site is smart priced. You figure they would make everyone pay a minimum of 6 cents a click that way people make atleast 2 cents a click.

lets sew Google. we're doing all the job for their clients... it should be more aproppiate a 50-50 deal with google. else, the one that makes all the hard work should get a bit more than the one that hires.

No use to speculate in this. I think Google gives a much higher %, up to 70. And we all get different % by the way.
29% is not a fact, its fiction. Remember all the ads at google search? they get the money themself and so on.

I guess not. It can't be a straight 29% thing.
    Just my assumption though.

I bet the percentage depends on the conversion rate of your visitors. If your visitors don't convert, Google lowers the price of the click for buyers and it also decreases your percentage. Smartpricing could be explained this way.

I distinctly remember reading from a reputable source that Google pays publishers 76.8 percent of a click. maybe 29% s what Google keeps, but the payous are defiantely in favor of the publishers.

Well I'm averaging 1.2 cents per click. I know my niche is a low paying one but isn't the minimum 5 cents for the advertiser? Atleast the last time I used adwords it was. If this is the case google is only paying out 1/5 or 20% in my case.

All the job? Do you even have any clue what it takes to run an ad-serving network? WE are NOT doing all the work. What HARD work are you doing? Presumably (unless you created the site JUST for adsense) you are doing all this HARD work already and the ads are a bonus for you.

i stopped trying to figure this out. if google doesn;t like to share the info, then trying to find it is not much of a help. i just see which of my ads pay me more and try to drive more traffic to that site
