Firstly I'm sure that you mean comment posting on other blogs and not blog posting. Effective comment posting is really an art. Anyway for the sake of getting a backlink from a blog, comment posting is quite offending to bloggers including me. No offense meant my friend but think about it, if you are commenting on some blog which is for links purpose, you are ignoring the quality of the content as a whole. So your comment becomes quite hollow as it is and that is offending because for a particular comment, if the content of the comment was 'fake' then the only thing you are doing is snarling away with a backlink. In my opinion, please just comment on blogs that you are interested about, regardless of being followed or nofollow. If the author of the blog sees your comment is the best then he might even link to your blog in his post, and so will others. You get both traffic and a link for free, the ethical way

Try to leave constructive comments which is related and which you think can contribute to the blog posts. People actually dislike statements consist of single line "I like the post", "Good" which bring no meaning expect maybe interpreted as spamming.
I agree. One suggestion here to improve you back links while commenting. You can look for blogs that have some niches with you, and with " Top Commentator" widget installed. If you comment more, your name(or link) will be shown in the top commentator lists. Normally, this list/widget is shown in their homepage. It is really good to get attention on the blog and drives traffic back to your own sites/blogs.
