Hello everyone.. I know many of you build lists. But I have never done it seriously. I want to give it a serious shot and i have a niche site that is getting good traffic but it sells at 1 for every 300 "visitors". I think I should build a list for it. I have thought of what i'd like to see. Please see whether its fine and make any suggestions: I want to have an exit console that doesn't look spammy & I want to give away a nice free gift to all those who try to exit my site. Now I want them to enter their name and email, just like every opt in form out there. Eventually i may even have just an opt in form on my sales page (if all goes well). That is what more and more people are doing right now. So, I want a nice exit console. And one more thing, I heard that Google doesn't like sites with popups so is there a way to hide it from Google bots? So what script should i use, that runs fine on all browsers, windows & mac. How can i move forward? Any advice will be appreciated as i know next to nothing here Once i know exactly what i need, i'll hire a person at the programming forum.
Just do a <body unload="Popup()..." And then the Popup is a simple jQuery/Javacript that display your optin-page. Programmers will charge you money for it, but there are free on-page pop-up optin form scripts out there I can setup for you.
