Want to have a directory - but which script

    Hi

    I'm planning to make a directory where people can submit their site to - but what directory script should i choose? And what are the pros and cons of the suggested scripts?

    I know of PHP Link Directory

    There are many many choices. Determine what you want your directory to offer and then compare it to the scripts available. The one that offers the closest match is the one for you. If none offer the complete package you may need to have some customization done.

    phpld is the best script...

    pros: loads of ppl use and develop it. So you can get themes, mods, fixes, category dump etc... easily.
    cons: Loads of people use phpld script, which can be bad. Don`t looks unique...

    You can choose the free version first.

    phpLD my friend. it is the most widely used and therefore a lot more support and mods.

    I would go with esyndicat or phpld. The former one is costlier but is definitely good.

    My fiance is using phpLD for his directories. You can always try other scripts however.

    - In my opinion, if you want to have a Bidding Directory, I would use the: phpLinkBid Script.
