    Hi guys,
I have made 2 sites with pure CORE Java Content. These sites are almost 4 months old and I want them to get listed in DMOZ. I have submitted twice in the past and Have not yet got listed till date.

    Sites:

    http://www.beginner-java-tutorial.com

    http://www.jdbc-tutorial.com

    Please let me know

    1. If my sites are not worth it and why they are not.

    2. How can I improve my site quality

    3. Are there any tips for better visibility in DMOZ.

    4. I believe getting listed in DMOZ can help increase my PR.

    5. Are there any high free PR directories that offer regular links for free.

You should add "about us, contact us and Privacy Policy" in your site

    Hi there,
Thanks a lot for these suggestions. I would surely incorporate the three in a few hours.

Once you submit your site atleast wait for 2months, Dont try to re-enter the sites every month. the links will be pending further..

Dmoz is definately a powerful link and accepted by 100% of the engines, but I agree there are many ways and avenues that you need to touch on to get your site ranked! Mega back links, Press releases, posts in article and blog sites, reciprical links with relative sites to your own, a quality site with all of the important items like strong content, contact us, privacy policy, about us, and a well harmonized code section in your header to pick the engines up!

Other than the things you have mentioned the thing you need for DMOZ is quite simply time! Every time you resubmit, your site is moved to the end of the list again and you have to start the climb again to get your site approved. As mentioned in many other threads, simply submit to DMOZ and then forget about it - at the end of the day if you don't get listed its not the end of the day.

If the DMOZ editor thinks your website is qualified, then it's will be included. If not, even if your website is quite qualified, it's useless and helpless.

There is one thing you can do.

Submit your site, and forgot it. :)
