I own a bodybuilding supplement blog which has good rankings all round for it's niche, although now i'd like to expand it's content onto other topics of bodybuilding. Right now the website runs wordpress, and i'd like for it to continue using wordpress although i'm unsure how to structure the website seeing as there will be lots more categories etc. You can see the website @ www.creatinejournal.com. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
well, since your domain is quite a general name, that shldn't be constraint. With regards to your question of structuring the website, are u thinking of adding many other categories besides bodybuilding or 1-2 only? cause adding to many categories and putting only a few articles in each, may not be too useful compared to focusing on a few categories only and building deep content. If you are just adding 1-2 more categories, then i suggest adding the categories as headings on the right menu with all articles associated to each category beneath it.
I've got about 50-100 articles which sit in about 4-5 categories, i was going to make this into a new site completely, but adding them to this site seems alot easier as it's a strong website already.
hmmm..... Perhaps you can create the categories on the right menu and display the most recent articles in each category. For older articles in each of the categories, visitors can click on the category name to see them..... But, u might want to reconsider starting new sites esp if u plan on developing each of the other categories deeper. Then your blogs will have strong focus and not so diluted. my 2 cents
Thanks, i was planning to make a new mega site.. including these articles... which'd probably benefit me in the future when i wish to get advertising promo's I'll have a think
