want to count images in a website??

    hi.. is there any online tool or method that can count no. of images and show where alt text is missing??

    I check manual image and alt tag. open source code of website and search image.

    The "Web Developer" addon for Firefox will do that.

    Right Click and "Images" popout, then "Image Information" and it will load a page, and list the number of images, their paths, dimensions, alt text, file size in bytes etc all in a list.

    You can download XENU here (http://www.niharsworld.com/2009/05/12/find-broken-links-missing-titles-image-alt-text-xenus-link-sleuth-tool/). It is freeware tool. It scan and list out all the In-bound links and Out-bound links so you know which of your pages are most linked and contain the most outgoing links. It also displays the Missing titles and Missing Alt Text for images.
