i have a wordpress site with 30 posts which have two side bars but now i want to install one side bar theme so if i will change the theme will it effect on my posts, widgets,plugins or is there any way that i can remove i sidebar in my existing theme. I am using simple balance theme.
Changing theme should not cause any effect on your posts, unless your new theme conflicts with the customization done to your posts for your current theme. For plugins, I would say it has little to no effect at all. As for Widgets, yes it will effect and you'r gna have to put widgets once again IF your new theme has different positions of sidebars etc. PM me if you get stuck somewhere Best of luck
thanks for your reply can you please tell me how to remove a side bar in simple balance theme. my site is www.prekshabansal.com. I want to remove left sidebar so i will get more space for content.
Drag your "subscribe , recent comments, tags" to right side in widget area of the admin page. Or back up the header.php and index.php and take out the <DIV id="lsidebar"></DIV> in your php file. IDK where it is working whether index.php or header.php Left side is working in <div id="lsidebar">
