Want to change domain! Should I forward? what about seo?

Hello folks,

I want to change a domian for my site, after launching my site I realised that my domain scars advertisers on my site.... Now I have good traffic and good user base.... so I want to change the domian name but I am afraid that I will lose my members as they will have no clue where my site went after I change my domain. Now i can just forward my domain but the problem is i have to consider seo too. I dont want to be get banned by google for having too names for duplicate content...

Please advise me what type of forwarding or redirect I should use that wont affect seo or ban me from google?
FYI my site is www.hornybollywood.com and the word "horny" killing me....!

When you move your site from one domain to another, IMO, a 301 permanent redirect is the safest thing that you could do and then inform your users/link partners/advertisers/etc that you will move to this or that domain.

If I were you I would change the name. After all, if you can't get advertisiers you can't keep it going! Just be armed with what *may* happen.

there is always an advertisement to every topic in the internet, you'll get one for sure.

 

This site is based on BOLLYWOOD and I am using bidvertiser which sucks...

I have about 100000 hits daily and about 25000 unique visitors..

 

You sure thats visitors and not hits because your site is a PR0, and has a total of 3 websites linking to it... You have got however about 11000 pages of content on the site which will help...

I wouldnt worry about moving the domain too much, doesnt seem like you have many inbound links to wory about. A 301 redirect would do the job nicely...

Only problem you have then is getting those 11000 pages reindexed... Im sure someone around here can explain in more detail if required...

 

How did you check that how many sites are linking to it? Pleasse tell me i dont know that kinda stuff...
