Hi need some help/information if anyone can help me.

I wanted to buy a particular .com.au domain because the .com isn't available, when I did a whois on the .com.au domain it says status: serverHold (Expired)
I tried googling this but to double check, does this mean the domain is expired but the registrar holds onto the domain and you can only register it with the registrar the last owner used? is that right? any help would be appreciated :)

ServerHold Status: that the domain is expired and current owner can renew / restore the domain during the grace period .
few days after the expiration date some registrar will move this domain to expired domain auction.
or can avail Domain backorder service .

Hmm, correct me if I'm wrong, but it is not possible to buy .com.au domain (especially for e-commerce purposes) if you are not a resident and passport owner of Australia.
