Want to build a website like woot.com - what are my options?

I would like to build a website similar to Woot.com - basically have an e-commerce website with one item for sale only - and when my inventory is sold out, the system stops new orders and waits until I upload a new product, etc.

Is there a Magento custom plug-in for the woot-style layout? Or are there other good solutions?

There's a script which does this 'out of the box' - I remember seeing it a while back somewhere, but (wait for it ...) I can't damn well remember what it's called Perhaps a little googling might turn it up, and in the mean time I'll see if I can remember/find it - if I do I'll post again.

Edit: It might have been a 'clone' script so maybe searching some of the less reputable places might turn up some results.
