I'm totally new to blogging and seo, these days building back links for my new blog, my blog is just 8 days old. So i want to ask , i know for ranking purpose do follow links are required but as we all know that no follow links help to rank better in Google serps. During building back links i commented on no follow high page rank blogs just to be natural for Google. but when i try to find do follow high rank blogs, it end up in nothing, i can't find not even a single blog which has high page rank and offers do-follow links in comments, so can please somebody tell me 1) how to get do-follow links from high page rank site. 2) is that true that if i got 2 or more do-links from page rank 6 blog then on the next update of Google page rank my page rank will be improve from 0 to 2 or 3? 3) Having more no-follow back links than of do-follow (for instance, 3 do-follow and 112 no-follow) is that good, mean Google penalize this or not? if having more no-follow links than of do follow is good then tell me what should be the ratio between these two types of links in order to look natural to Google and to gain high page rank. 4)is blog commenting really fruitful or not, i heard some where Google isn't give as much importance to those links which are in comments or in header. is that right? please give me the answer of all my question i'm really confused about all these.
Ahsan, I wish if someone can give you a clear cut answer to "how to get do-follow links from high page rank site" - if someone knows, they are not here reading threads, they are managing their own sites. However, from what I have read and tried, the most important thing is natural link building. The often repeated phrase 'content is king' is really the king of SEO!
i got your point pat but i do believe on the fact that there should be someone on this forum who knows the exact answer of my questions, digital point is really big community when it comes to seo. thanks for your reply
Pat you said they are not here, but you gave the guy the a darned good answer on the best type of "link building" tbh IMHO when you said "the most important thing is natural link building", as natural is always going to end up winning and those doing it less likely to be jumping through hoops because they spent time looking for too many loop holes. But I am thinking long term and I mean real long term when I say such things. It's the shortcuts though that don't last, so not the worse way to be thinking. Natural link building though gets lost in translation as to what that means for well for nigh on all of us at times it seems sometimes...
Probably not in a post or two but IMHO (for what it is worth) it is all about providing the best! The best might be the best answer the best might be the sexeist pic the best might be the best joke the best might be the best advice the best might be the best help the best might be the "well fill in the gaps" (any number of things!!) that's how natural results work in true essence & how natural link building is supposed to work. The lost in translation bit comes in to it when people start saying there is one way only to do things (according to their opinion) or that these ways are are set in stone ways, as clearly the world is full of creative new things and so just do your thing and be creative would be my advice and as the saying goes > Content is King, be that content "text", the steadfast SEO King or images/pics the steadfast content of other niches, vidoes, games etc etc - it's mostly about being unique and providing different "content" and providing some things that stand out as better than other things or that solves a problem or that provides the best answers or the best laughs, so you get linked or ranked or whatever hence I said that as pat_england had said "the most important thing is natural link building" the answer was already there.
