Want to add logo to theme, but logo file is not in images folder. Any suggestions?

I want to add a logo to my theme, and have done it before by replacing the logo file in the images folder for the theme. Unfortunately, the theme I am using does not have a logo file, so I am not sure how to do this. Does anyone know what I need to do to add the logo? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Create another folder named images in your new theme.
2. There, save the logo image.
3. Open your index or header and add your logo. Since you've done adding logo before, you know how to get the correct URL path of the image

@ms.g: Thank you for the advice, but I do not know where to add the path to the image in my header. If you don't mind, please explain exactly where I need to put it so it will replace the text that is currently there.

 

Let me know the theme nameplease, posibility that they does not offer logo space in theme
