Want to add forum advise please

I want to add a forum to my site.
Is it best to add as..... mystite.com/forum or forum.mysite.com
To make the best of it.
If you understand what i mean

 

I would go forum.mysite.com

Its just looks a bit neater

 

I would go for forums.mysite.com (added S) for the aforementioned reason.

Personally I would actually go for the /forum.
Definatly if you plan to integrate your forum with your main website.

 

id do mysite.cohm/forums as then all your directorys on your server are organised. Also to save hassle.

 

I use the /forums method. No special reason.

 

For SEO, I wouldn't name it forum or forums. It is better to put something in the directory name that people would search for. So it would be mysite.com/webmasterforums or webdesignforums.mysite.com
