I am promoting my website selling wholesale shawls, scarves and ponchos. Kindly suggest what changes i should do so that it will be promoted better? Also, suggest some new ways of promoting???
i think you should do some research of who are your customers first. then you go to promote in the site or forums that they are active on.. find website they like to visit and do some textlink or banner advertising there. that should be enough to start.
The website layout looks neat with orderly arrangement of all the related links. You have done well in the first part of informing about you to the potential customers. The second important part is marketing. How you will let others know about your existence, especially in Amritsar itself? Then take the whole Punjab and spread it to India and then globally. Take it step by step. What are the marketing strategy you follow for both on line and off line marketing? What about SEO? Whether your site comes in the top 10 for any of the potential keywords (related to shawls etc.) in the SERP? What is your target for local and customers abroad? Do you have any affiliates in promoting your products? Analyze all these questions and in your answer lies the success of your enterprise. Wishing you success all the way. Cheers -Dairyman
Nice site, you can buy some seo services for your site, wish you have some nice traffic from that and make $$$$$$$ from your business.
Start a link building campaign. Creating mini-niche sites to support your main site is a good idea too
The pictures in the logo look absolutely awful. Please try to get some high definition pictures or pay for a nice logo. The slide bar is nice and highlights your products well. Try breaking up your text. A solid BLOCK like this: Does not work well with human readers and might very well be considered as "keyword stuffing" by search engines. ::emp::
Search engines are the best source of customers, so try getting a high rank in search results. Build lots of backlinks.
Keep on getting quality links from directories forums like DP forum Groups And start a link building campaign for your website
I would say first of all remove the pink background, it's a tacky and harsh colour to use, use a better background colour for reading text, such as good old plain white... There are too many product links on every page of your site, there is no need to list your entire website's links on every page, why not try breaking your website down into smaller segments, a parent/child category layout. Currently because you have so many links going down the left and right side of your pages, you are taking up a huge amount of presentation space and causing the user to scroll very far down to view all your products under each category. I can also see you have gone crazy in your opening description on the index page, listing every single product you sell, too much focus on keyword listing and not enough on quality readable content that will appeal to your customers. Further down on the index page I see you have repeated this method with more keyword listing, try to write keywords into natural flowing and appealing content. The main banner's photograph is blurred, unfocused and poor quality, I would certainly spend time on improving how you edit and use photographs in your website banners. These are just a few starter points for you to consider.
First impression when opening the site is BUSY! I realize the bulk of your customers will be female but I would tone down the pinks and purples. It is very apparent you have a lot of product to offer, but I wouldn't try to get that information across in one huge opening paragraph. Create some pages directing your customer to a particular line of product and allow him/her to go to that page. You have a great offering, I believe you just need some fine tuning and easier navigation. All the very best. MrTraffic
I totally agree with this. I would consider removing some of the text on the homepage, and definitely make it more user friendly, using sentences that aren't keyword stuffed. At the moment it looks cluttered and won't appeal to a user. Remember the first impression is vital. If you can't grab the user's attention in the first 10 seconds then you have lost them Good luck
I have changed my website little bit with your opinion. So, Kindly look again and let me know your comments.
Ask the webmasters of related web pages and sites to link to your pages, and encourage your readers to link to your site. This will bring people in directly, and it will also allow search engines like Google to find you.
prateekcassanova, Very nice to see someone actually listen to some suggestions! By separating your product offerings into catagories it helped the look of your landing page immensely. My only suggestion at this point would echo KnickersBoxersGlory, in that your sentence structure still appears very keyword stuffed. Much, Much, Better.
The layout of the website is really good. I suggest you to remove the scrolling slide displaying different designs and patterns of shawls for the reason of search engine optimisation. Search engines never recognise these kinds of advertising style.
