Hello all, Yesterday I got this message from PayPal. (I don't want to reveal the buyer's email/name) I want to know that, The money which I have right now in my account is it safe or not? What I have to do to solve this problem? As my Partner is handling my PayPal so I need to talk with him before the deadline, So i want to know some more info, Kindly help me - Imran
You need to provide them with the details of the transaction. Either they were reviewing your products / services and found something they didn't like, or the person buying the item had their account potentially hijacked or something else that's fraudulent. If the money's on hold, it will basically stay that way until they verify that the person who you shipped it to actually bought it. If there is a chargeback in the process or they learn that the buyer's account was hijacked or something, or you don't respond, they will most likely refund the payment to the buyer's card / bank account. Also, if the money is on hold, it is not available to you. If they haven't limited your account completely, which would be surprising, the rest of your money is OK.
I would believe that you were expecting this money and that you have all the documents such as invoices, proof of delivery and all the necessary paperwork which are standard for sales then you could provide them to Paypal. If your account is not already limited, make sure that you do not touch the amount which is on hold for at least the next 60 days. Be prepared to refund the number if needed. Like Jestep said, Paypal may be suspicious about the transaction as it could come from a hijacked account or one which is involved in suspicious activities.
You mignt have to refund the money to get acount unblocked. I had some one do this to me after 90 days they wanted money back after they downloaded something.
Well, When I receive this mail I didn't get any notice for limiting my PayPal account, I paste full email here which I received yesterday, So anyone here can tell me that Is my account limited or not? And If I refund the latest amount which got me in this problem, So will my problem be solve or not? I am asking this Because, My partner is handling my PayPal and he is out of country now, So i want few more info before I contact my partner. - Imran
If you log into your paypal account and it is not limited then it is not limited. You will certainly know if it is. Did the email which you receive about the dispute identify your name and is the order details valid ? There are a number of phishing email which are being sent which pretty much look very real.
Yes the email which I received its 100% valid, Because I contact to Buyer and he said That, He sold the domain to someone and got his payment, But after that someone charge back the amount and also he loose his domain. I want to know that, The deadline which the PayPal gives me, If I don't respond before that day, So what will happen? PayPal will refund the money to the buyer's account? or what can they do?
I am certainly not sure what happens after the deadline is reach as this has not happened to me. You might want to call Paypal and ask them about it but if you ask me, I would supposed it would depend on the discussion of paypal if you do nothing. I supposed no response on your part may be deemed as your experience of your guilt in the matter. Forward the email you have from your buyer to paypal because your contractual relationship is with the one you sold the domain name directly to and not to his customers and the chargeback should not have affected you as you are not a party to that last deal.
Can you give me the PayPal email? I go at PayPal but didn't find any email address lol, I am asking this because as I said my partner is handling my PayPal and I have no access of PayPal here. So if you give me the email address so I can contact them directly.
click on the 'Contact Us' on Paypal's website to contact them. I don't believe they place their email address on their website to prevent spam and all that. You will really need to get your partner to contact them as the account holder can only have access to that account.
