I believe --upto PR6 --its is normal --invest cash --and you are on. But the problem is after that. Aviva and alive have close to 100 PR5, nearly same PR6 and many PR7. Still ---
After PR6 -- I think G becomes serious and award PR not only on the basis of counting --but also many other things.

That table shows--that you can easily get PR6 with a PR8 backlink.
Wel Dave you have the coolest PR8 link with only 12 OBL along with few PR5 and 6 links.
Are you 100% confident you will get PR6?

 

I would say those figures are pretty accurate maybe less PR8's though, I have seen it done with one PR8 site-wide and other links as well but all 6 or less and not that many.

 

I think blogs can achieve good pr easily but it's hard for directories

Well Saad -I agree with you there 100%. I am hoping PR 6 for my 2 months old blog with only 7 PR6 and one PR7 pointing from Amit's BLOG

I reckong--G differentiates sites based on their niche--- I can see that all webmasters, hosting --internet related forums are either PR5 or PR6. Do they build backlinks like directory owners do it ? I don't think so.

 

I have something up my sleeve for this in the very near future :evil grin:
