I agree. That's why you have to be super careful with reciprocal directories.

You could be linking to a bad neighbourhood, and be unaware of it, until G dumps you.

my opinion: Stick with SEO friendly non-reciprocals, for your free submissions.

Dmoz has loads of phentermine related links, and I haven't seen them get kicked out of Google. Yahoo's directory has loads of phentermine related links, and I haven't seen them get kicked out of Google. Zeal has loads of... well, you get the point.

Stop being so ridiculously paranoid. Geez... I put on my yellow socks today, will that get me banned by Google? Oh, boy, I just remembered, I also didn't feed my fish last night, will that get me banned??

    Give me a break

Hmmm. That's interesting .... Well, I'm a little greedy  so I'm gonna leave the reciprocals in there. I'll let you know if I am kicked out of Google! :D

I'm not leaving anything anywhere. Can't afford the risk. Besides, I'm on a roll getting really relevant recips going anyway, I think I'll stick to that.

I'm sorry but I just thought I'd let some people know that it could hurt them.

This is not being ridiculously paranoid, this is using common sence. But hey why do you link out to all of those site from all of your sites and tell me in six months if I was right.

    K thanks for your input.

    Just as a note:
    1. Most (or all?) of these sites were showing a PR, so if Google was to "hate" these sites, wouldn't they be taken off the index and have a PR0.
    2. I have still got my links with these sites and they have already been cached by MSN. Google doesn't update BLs very often (visible BLs anyway) so we can't check there.
    3. If google was to ban these sites in the future for being on the same C-class IP ..... wouldn't it leave your site (or my site) out of the ban, as it is on a totally different server??

So, I think you should be all right linking to sites that have decent content and don't appear spammy. If somebody's running multiple sites on the same server, that's their problem not yours.

Anyway, to link or not to link is totally your decision. But, this is just my viewpoint.
