want download plugin to count no of time a file is downloaded

Hello friends,
For my website: http://www.offclassroom.com , I want a extension(plugin) that shows total no of times a file is downloaded. It should be visible to users.
Thanks in advance.

 

I have used Docman in the past for document management, but I think it will work with other types of file....might be worth a quick look at their website.

 

But I want the link to display no. of downloads on mouse hover...
