I think the title of this thread should be 'Wanna do my SEO for me?'. That's hilarious that you say this is to improve their SEO knowledge. Really you just don't know how to do SEO yourself and you can't afford a seo professional. Well good luck finding a partner to market your website.
Why not do a web 2.0 campaign (or several) ? Put web 2.0 content up linking back to your site using your keywords an anchor text and get rankings/traffic that way. You could sign up for our totally free 12 day course or just google for the information, there is plenty of information on how to do this stuff available to you for free if you are prepared to invest some time to read and learn.
