There are copyrights on the images.. especially deviantart, so I don't suggest taking these. What most people do to stay safe is just use popular celeb photographs that LOTS of other people are using..

Every stuff, pictures, sounds are copyrighted, even they are not signed. You should have permission from author to share.

Just because LOTS of other people are using the images it doesn't mean that it is safe to use them yourself. You still run the risk of getting into copyright issues and being sued... however if you are prepared to run that risk then it's up to you.

All images are copyrighted to the creator of that image as soon as they create the image. It doesn't need to have a visible copyright notice, watermark, or need to be signed by the creator (though most people do this, just because their images are stolen so many times!). In the US you need to register an official copyright if you want to take someone to court, but the images are still copyrighted to you regardless if you have an official copyright or not.

The same goes for most other countries as well, so unless you have created the images yourself, or have permission from the owner, I'd suggest not to use them. If the creator tracks your site down, they might just be angry enough to take things further...
