Hi, I wish to learn this and I'm a totally fresh to this, so which model of wacom is suitable for me? i hope the price won't be so painful and any other brand are welcomed thanks
I jsut bout the bamboo..only for 100$ love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! small but im a beginner also...still learning with it go to www.supremegraphics.carbonmade.com and go to my logo sectoin and look for the profound visionz ent logo..the colored version...kid with hat, a mic and stack of money in his hand..i colored that with the wacom bamboo drawing tablet
Yeah the Bamboo is nice for the price. I think I paid $70-$80 for mine. I works fairly good for the small jobs I do with it, if I was using a pen 8 hours a day I would defiantly upgrade but for a couple of hours a week it is good enough.
Don't bother looking at any other brands, even the low end Wacoms are excellent. I've got an ancient Graphire 2, use it nearly everyday, and have never really thought about upgrading... but I use it mainly for retouching photos, and not for sketching/drawing - so the tiny size isn't an issue for me.
how about doing some free sketch or comic? will it be too small in size? Bamboo and Bamboo Fun, may i know what is the difference? moneybrown, what Bamboo model are you using now?
i have the Bamboo Pen and Touch from Wacom and it is great for a person just starting out. They are only $100 brand new.
@iBall The size will be just fine. I thought that it would be to small also, but it actually is more spacious then it looks.
Yes, a tablet will open up a whole new world when it comes to design and graphics. However, there is a bit of a learning curve to get used to it. It's not the same as drawing on paper, and that's what frustrated me at first. I can draw very well, but the first time I played with a tablet, it was like I had never picked up a pen in my life. Just stay with it though. Once it seems comfortable, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.
Wacom tablets are awesome. I illustrate with the cheapest bamboo for about 6 hours a day, every day, its awesome. Go for it, Wacom are quality.
