W8 - Tax forms for Non-Americans

    Hey everyone,

    I'm just about to sign this form for shareasale but I wanted to ask you guys for advice/help.

    I certify that _________________________________ is not a United States Citizen/Corporation/Entity,
    and that my business with ShareASale is not effectively connected with business in the United States. I
    do not have any employees in the United States nor do I own any equipment related to ShareASale
    earnings in the United States.

    I don't live in the U.S, but if I generate sales FROM Americans (U.S traffic), should I technically not sign this? I believe I have to sign the W-8ECI form instead.

    What's your take on this?

    You should put your name there:

    I certify that ___Daniel_Blabla____________________ is not a United States Citizen/Corporation/Entity,......

    - you dont have employees in US
    - you dont have equipment in US
    - you dont have any special connection with Shareasale

    So generally you dont make business in US but outside so you sign it.

    Many affiliate programs in US are having this form.
