    You can see it on your traffic stats. Especially if you're using Awstat. The larger the numbers googlebot occurs on your stats the better. It means that Google love your site and its being crawled very often.

    I find it helps pick up mistakes that I overlook and tend to use it on all my sites but dont always agree with some of the stuff that it points out
