That's nice that you wanted to proclaim to the world that your directories are w3c compliant, but the only problem is this: Only your homepage validates. The pages with listings on them have many, many errors. But I am sure you already knew this.

The reason you see few directories passing validation is because of all the codes that the validator has problems with, such as javascript. And with your directories, the validator really hates those links with the "&id=34324" stuff in them.

But w3c compliant does not neccesailry mean a site is SEO-friendly. And many sites that people would consider SEO-friendly are not w3c compliant. Hell, just look at the big reason people spend so much time with SEO: Google. It doesn't come close to passing validation.

My directory www.index-it.net is w3c compliant and member of w3c compliant websites. And although I do not think that you have to have your site validated it is still a good idea to do so.

my pages pass. ALL of them.

    woowoo!!!!

i am currently goofing in the directory so you might get a few things here or there. but once i am done they always validate.

derek, as far as things like "&id=34324"

just use it's encoded version. like & is the same as "&id=34324"
    and will validate no probs.

I took the time to ensure all pages of Strongest Brands validate W3C and CSS.
