VPS with pre-installed control panel?

    Hi everyone,

I need to purchase a vps host, but I have almost zero knowledge of server administration. Are there any companies offering pre-installed control panel? I'm looking for low costs...

VPSLand is offering free Plesk 9 (30 Domains), but I've read lots of bad reviews about them.

I've also heard about Webmin that is free. Does it has similar features like CPanel (at least the basic ones: addon domains management, mysql databases, email accounts)??

Please lighten me and recommend me some services.

    Thank you!

Depending what you determine to be low cost, I would recommend Liquid Web for fully managed VPS with Cpanel. Liquid Web support is fast and reliable for people who don't know much about server administration.

LiquidWeb is quite expensive for me ($60/mo). Thanks anyway.

I'm looking for something in the $15 ~ $30 range, but any suggestion is welcome. I'm not familiar at all with vps hosting.

Check out JaguarPC, they are having a Special on VPS's atm. I have quite a few VPS's with them as well as a few servers and they are great. :)

First, select the hosting platform you need. If Windows, you can choose Plesk control panel and if Linux, cPanel is what I would suggest.

Choose a VPS from a hosting provider who offers fully managed servers, as if you consider a Fully managed server, control panel will be pre-installed.

Also, I would suggest you to consider a hosting provider who offers round the clock support as you are a newbie and round the clock support is definitely helpful :)

    Best of luck!!

Webmin and Kloxo are free control panels, they're usually installed by request.

It's been a while since I used Webmin, it was kinda similar to cPanel back then. The same functionality is there, but it required a bit more knowledge of linux, DNS, and the like to get it working. That's not say say you need to be a linux wizard, you just need to know some definitions and basic troubleshooting.

I dealt with JaugarPC about three years ago. They had good hosting, and they're a well established company. Their managed VPS plans look quite nice, actually.

I'm looking for a fully managed VPS host too. I read good things about Linode but found out that you have build everything from scratch. That freaked me out. I need something like shared host provides.

Anyway, so which VPS will you recommend for 5K visitors/8K pageviews per day that can sustain up to 10K visitors?
