    Hi,

I just got a VPS yesterday, decide to move my sites, figured things will be easier, but now i'm confused with Nameservers,Given IP from new host, and my website IP's.

The new host setup the server, and also migrated my sites. My sites are still on my old server till i'm sure the setup is correct.

    New Host gave 1 IP
New host is using my "Own" nameservers as requested.

What i wonder is, My nameservers point to ip's on my old host i assume? So when i cancel will my sites not go down also?
Also, the IP of my server i was given is not the same as the IP given to my new sites?

Hope i'm making a bit of sense here, anyone help?

Well you need to create your own name servers NS1 and NS2 and assign IP given to you to those name servers.

Website on the old host won't go down, and propagation and recognition of new name servers will take a while depending on domain registrar.

Ok, When you change your name servers this will take some of time for propogating your domain to your servers.this time is upto 48 hours but normally in few minutes.
