What a load of crap this service is. I have canceled and tried to get a refund but he needs the few dollars that much I suppose so there is no hope. Server IS oversold and I had constant buffering on 1 radio port whereas I have no issues on another VPS with identical spec elsewhere. Avoid this at all costs and don't be tempted by the low price. Take no notice of the 5 day money back guarantee either, it's a crock of shite. Anyone who signs up with hostlatch WILL be making a big mistake.

The node was up within 15 minutes, required a simple reboot.

Ok, there is a lot of things to clear up about dennyjames and we will get started right now

1. He broke our terms of service

2. He blamed a lot of issues on us.
For example:

It has now gone down and I cannot access it, happened around 15 minutes ago and still off.
----------------

While the server was up the whole entire time. probably a common internet issue on his end with his ISP provider.

3. Threatened our staff.

Regarding your shoutcast issue, probably your far routing to our servers? Do you live near Washington?

Anyone that decides to deal with dennyjames under any circumstance should stay away - he does not read the host's rules/TOS, and is not easy to deal with.

I am requesting this thread to be locked/closed.

Why lock it, because you lie? I did not break any terms and you know it, I asked for a refund and said if you did refund I would not post reviews about the service anywhere and that would be an end to the matter but you chose not to. All I have down is told the truth and so have many others. My other 4 VPS's do not have any issues like the one from you did and one has the same spec.... except for it's not on an overloaded node! You can lie about me, I am not running any business so it does not affect me, you can have this thread closed but it will still be here along with the others and the other threads on WHT (only one by me and others from more pissed off ex-clients) and other sites.
You only have yourself to blame and lying makes it worse!

 

What? I live in Norway, US is on the other side of the world for me! Still, i have no issues what so ever with the connection speed to foreign countries... And your saying that people in the US may have a slow speed because they live far from your server within the SAME country ?

You clearly have a huge lack of knowledge.

 

Nah, I am going to leave Digitalpoint for a few months or so to take a break from all this silliness, and I will hang out at other webmaster forums. This is why I want it to be locked. I did not lie, and please do not call me a liar! It is 100% true, and deep inside you can verify that, you just don't want to be proven wrong, because it would make you look bad. I did nothing wrong as well mate, if you were patient enough, I could have either: 1) fixed the issue you were having and analyze the issue you were having 2) move you to another VPS node 3) refund you (if you were not so fast to opening that dispute)

Sigh.. I'm tired and spent way too long trying to prove my point. I have issued a full Paypal refund to your account to make both of us happy.
