Well, im running my rapidshare premium link generator (lots of connections and i'm pulling 30-50 GB per day with some servers) and one of my servers is a dedicated server and another server is a VPS server - Dedicated server: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz 2 GB RAM 160 GB HD cPanel CentOS 5 No lighthttpd - VPS Server 512 MB Guaranteed RAM 2 GB Burstable RAM 30 GB HDD CentOS 5 LxAdmin Lighthttpd The difference, my dedicated server is running very good and is able to keep a memory load of max 390 MB of 2GB (http://www.optical-gaming.org/status) So, i think, 390 MB, i should get a VPS, i would be able to have less costs and get more for my money... not? because i'm using this dedicated only for my RS link generator... OK, here's the problem, the VPS is going straight to 1 GB RAM usage and is giving me a 403 forbidden error... Why is this? Because of cPanel? Lighthttpd?
RAM is not the reason for 403 error. You will need to check your software configuration. Also, pls note on VPS, you are limited by CPU too.
well, gate2vn, it's working fine now with apache, i dont get errors now and i'm running it already some hours without any probs
i think your another vps should cancel it and add it into the server server always runs better than vps in your case.
