Hi all, I'm planning to go for a VPS in december. I researched a lot and found out a deal which I think is cool. The general feedback for the company is really good too. For some reason, I won't mention the url or name of the host. Let me know how are the specs and how much load etc this baby can handle : Also for $5/month extra, I managed to get 8 extra IP addresses, 60% from different class-C blocks.
if your site doesn't need more than that, it seems like a decent deal. most vps's start higher than that price-- quite a bit higher. not a whole ton of ram, BW, or space though honestly. I'd search for the host's name at webhostingtalk and see what people have to say. the stats are definitely not everything when it comes to picking a host.
Yes, I got this deal from WHT offers section and some recent good user experiences are reflected. Well, I plan to host my phpld web directories mainly on this VPS, on individual IPs that I get. About 4-5 small blogs and content sites too. Edit : space is 15GB, not 5GB as in my first post. VPS is basic managed...sorta unmanaged.
I think this company name is Future Hosting not sure though.Anyway it's a nice deal! Search for customers feedback then purchase it i also want one for hosting one of my proxy site let me know url too ! Saad
Not futurehosting...Thanks for all your inputs so far. Now I wanna confirm if it can bear the load of the sites which I mentioned in my last post.
Yes, i've seen that deal on WHT aswell..Well I can say that Softlayer servers are extremely fast so ofcourse if your vps is on server node which is in Softlayer DC then speed should be fast Saad
ok...that is fine. I meant whether it can bear the load of 10-15 low-medium traffic dynamic sites(mainly phpld) well.
What's the company called, and have you researched their reputation? I'm sure you already know this, but never purchase a web hosting package without first confirming whether the host is reliable. I once had a VPS with www.powervps.com - they're were very very prompt with support and managed to maintain an acceptable uptime. You might to try them out. And remember, you get what you pay for.
They seem to be new...but is already showing good feedback in WHT. Its iFastHosting I'm low on budget and their offering seems to be a great deal to me.
