Several Republican voters in Collier County have been subjected to a possible state-wide voter intimidation scheme.

So far, five Collier County voters have received fraudulent letters questioning their citizenship and eligibility to vote, according to Tim Durham, Collier chief deputy supervisor of elections.

The letters impersonate the official mailings sent out earlier this year to suspected non-citizen registered voters. A key difference is legitimate mailings from the Supervisor of Elections office will always be sent via certified mail, Durham said. The fraudulent letters, which came from Seattle, Wash., were not.

Too bad Republicans aren't as gullible as your average voter. Scratch another big fail for the Democrats. As the Democrats like to say, if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying. Just more signs of desperation.
