LOL, that was my first PC too. It seems a lot of people here started out with a Commodore 64. So what's Commodore up to these days? Are they ever gonna come out with a new, high tech, PC. ? The Commodore 64.20 LOL

10 but i started r&d only at 12 on my olivetti sx386 with 4mb ram, 200gb hdd & a spare 40gb hdd (to move data like todays portable hdds) that was in 1996. os was win311 & dos (later i managed to install win95 by upgrading the ram to 8mb). it had other softwares like harvard graphics, virus package (i guess it was trend), lotus123 & some file management program. games like acolade, mortal kombat, dave etc.

I was in the first grade, so right around 6 when I first used a computer. It was at school, we had apple's. I only remember that because pushing the apple did something.. pushing the half eaten apple did something else..

It was a Private Catholic school, in the most urban area of the city, so I guess we were above public school budget, below normal private school budget? lol. Anyway, we sat two to a computer, maybe 3 if you were the unlucky guy and took a few computer classes. That was in the 80's somewhere I guess.

There are still people 'shocked' that I let my kids near the computers here, and friends of mine that kind of 'freak out' when their smaller kids use my pc's. I ask my kids for help regularly ;). I've been doing what I do for 10 years or so (as a hobby at first) they already do it better than me.
