SimCity was one of my favorite games growing up too. Except I think I played on Nintendo or Sega or something.. LOL

Most of my friends' 5 or 6 year old kids probably wouldn't play SimCity too well so you must have been a smart kid!

I was 18. My first job was an operator on a Burroughs L4. You used to have to load the programs using a deck of punched cards! Later I graduated to the L9 which had a cassette tape and a massive 8k memory! (Yes 8k, not 8gb or even 8mb)

*Sigh* Any other old programmers remember coding pads?

With all of the new video games for little kids and toddlers that I keep seeing advertised, such as the Vcast and others I wouldn't be surprised to find that in about ten more years the average person starts using a computer at the age of 3. It doesn't seem that we are too far from that right now as it is.

I think I was about 12, don't remember for sure. Got a vic-20. Then bought a tape recorder! Wow, was that awesome waiting 5 minutes to pull up a little program.

The next year I saved up for a c-64. Then upgraded to a floppy drive! woo hoo.... I was one of the cool ones amongst my nerdy friends. But there was always a rich kid who got the newest commodore.... darn it..

Then no computer for years until 98 when I started my business. Got a Compaq 233mhz or ?? with a huge drive it was like 4 gb and had even extra memory - 48 MB !! wow!

I voted 7-10, but not to get me confused with the younger kids on here... the computer I used was like a Tandy that connected to Great Lakes Free Net via a 1400 baud modem

When I was 5, my mom got a PC from Circuit City called a Compaq with Windows 95. I played some games like Math Blaster and Gizmos and Gadgets which was pretty cool.

In school I had Macs which sucked all the way until 9th grade when I finally got to use Windows XP and see the internet without any guide.
