Hi. I am looking for someone to redesign my website for me. My old design was done by a professional years ago but he's too busy now. My site runs on volunteer work only, and I have no money to pay anyone. However, my site is very popular, so if you do help me, hundreds of thousands of people each month will see your name and work. It's good experience and advertising for you. I would be happy to put a banner ad up for you as well. My site has been around for a decade or more, and it's very stable and gets more hits every month. I'm hoping that a better design will increase that.

I sort of know what I want, but I am just really bad at design and knowing how to use the software to make it look nice.

    My site is at http://tvmegasite.net

I want it to look simpler, cooler, with better navigation, and ideally to load faster.

This is an example of the type layout I'm looking for, but obviously I want it to look much better than this. This is just a suggestion, I'm open to ideas.

and I want it to fit in the window, not make users scroll over.
I do have to keep the ads, unfortunately, as they pay for the site's hosting fees and other expenses.

Right now we use MS Frontpage for the site, but we are looking into using a CMS such as Drupal. I don't have a technical person to help me set that up. I am trying to learn it now, but technical stuff is not my strong point, which is why we use frontpage in the first place. So if you are able to work with that, great, too.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in helping out, please let me know!

    Thanks!

    Advice:

Stay away from Drupal... I had a hard time even installing it due to a parse error within the bootstapper file... Yeah, they had the scripting wrong and the wrong syntax... Even after I fixed the error by simply replacing the (''') with ("'"), it went to the next step of selecting the language to install, but would not go any farther then this...

I recommend you look into Joomla... It is a much more stable CMS... :)

Thanks, but there was some reason I couldn't use Joomla. I forget what it was now. Maybe because the site is so large? Our site is really huge with many levels.

My web host installed Drupal for me so that shouldn't be a problem. He installed it so I could learn it and see if it will work for us. If it works, then it'll be his problems as far as installing it for permanent use...
