.VOB to FLV or maybe WMV converter.

    is there something avaliable to convert a DVD to flv or maybe wmv.



    if this can be a script only this would be more great or else i am happy with a software.

    There are a lot of software can do that. I know one good converter can convert dvd or regular video format to flv and swf. You can google Moyea Flash Video MX 6. Or go to its product page directly: http://www.video-to-flash.com/video_to_flash/

    I use handbrake for this purpose.

    cross platform, has all the codecs built in, does a great job of ripping DVD's and with the latest releases of converting between media formats... Though it prefers outputting to H.264 (in this day and age, who doesn't?). A h.264 codec .MP4 file can easily be played from inside a flash player wrapper ala how youtube handles content.

    Unfortunately there's no built in scripting, but it does have a command line interface so you could probably call it from php using EXEC.

    well, i know a good tool can do this job, Pavtube DVD Ripper can help u convert dvd to flv, wmv or many other formats u want. Also it can guaranteed the output quality.

    Personally, I use AVS Video Converter for all video conversion, I used it to convert all my DVD rips from .avi to .mp4's for my iPod. Here's some of the features from their site:
