I built vmgo.com about 4 years ago in the hopes that it would compete with the big search engines one day. It's been a long road and we've made alot of improvements over the years. Our newest feature is RSS feeds for our search results. The idea is to allow others to subscribe to the search results so you can watch the rankings go up and down etc... Another way you can use the rss feeds is to use our feeds to build your own search engines and include our results into your scripts. This will give webmasters more reason to want to be included in our engine. When our results are widely distributed across many websites it will increase traffic to websites that are included in our results. Let me know your ideas on it. Scott http://www.vmgo.com/
It's not new but you don't see google or yahoo or msn letting people use their results on other sites without making money from it. My server may not be able to handle the load if it gets used alot which will forcee me to scale it up with more servers to run the rss but that's ok because in the long run it will end up promoting vmgo.com. I am working on re-branding vmgo.com right now. It will get a brand new domain name and a new look soon. I think it'll be very good when I'm finished.
