vlidation fails sometimes - stats goes down too

I've got a validation failing notice today and since I already have received such things before I just went to my account and revalidated mannually - that solved the problem. But now I see that the whole stats for the site dropped for about 25% - I checked the impressions stats for my ads on the account and some of them dropped a lot, like -70% Is this common thing when validation fails? Or this is just a coincidence and my stats are down for other reasons....

    any ideas?

If you aren't validating it means that your ads aren't being shown on the network

Most likely coincidental... it would take 4+ days for ads to be out of the system because of the caching system. Plus stats are only through yesterday... so if you didn't validate this morning, it wouldn't affect your historical data.

So, if for some reason I stop validading, my ads will still be showing? Wow, didn't know that, and it sure is a cool feature, that way you have enought time to notice that you aren't validating and fix whatever is wrong

How fast reassigned/changed weight take place as far as ad impressions go? ..and the same question as for disabling/enabling ads? I'm just thinking (if its not against any rules) may be there is a point in rotating ads/weight on the account - keep changing it so often?

Let's say I have 4 ads that I use almost all my weight for, but I would like to increase the amount of keywords in the rotation without decreasing the weight. To make it happen I would have to disable the same amount of ads I want to enable and keep it doing every X days... It might be pointless... what do you think?

It would be pointless... since it takes 4 days to be fully in the rotation as well as fully out.

So in the end, you wouldn't receive any more impressions.

It is understood with the impressions. I'm curious about the SEs, how fast they're updating the information on the inbound links and anchor text... With google sometimes it feels like the links and changes take affect much later after they were done.. if this has place to be then the rotation woudn't be that pointless. ..this things probably better try than guess.
