Hahahah - as on the other thread, yep, jealous.

Hitler had a 100% approval rating, if I'm not mistaken. And, god, I think the guy won a landslide whenever folks voted. Amazing!:D

You are making no sense. You create a post asking us all to bow to the honor of Putin being named Time Magazine's Man of the Year. Time itself says this isn't an honor, but a recognition of people who, for good or ill, are people of action. Time also named Hitler Man of the Year, and as I consider Putin a thug, it's an obvious thing to point out.

You may not like the truth of it, but if you create a post, you should expect a response.

You digged the history, lets see then:

    1988 Endangered Earth
    1989 Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev
    1990 The Two George Bushes
    1991 Ted Turner
    1992 Bill Clinton
    1993 The Peacemakers
    1994 Pope John Paul II
    1995 Newt Gingrich
    1996 Dr. David Ho
    1997 Andy Grove
1998 Bill Clinton and Kenneth Starr
    1999 Jeff Bezos
    2000 George W. Bush
    2001 Rudolph Giuliani
    2002 The Whistleblowers
    2003 The American Soldier
    2004 George W. Bush
2005 Bill Gates, Melinda Gates, & Bono

Based on your theory, I can say all of them are thugs?(politicians)

Whoahh, you had far more Hitlers then! ;) And one is still in control :D

Or, "based on my theory," it could be what I said from the beginning, which is what Time says it is - a chronicle of people who, for good or ill, most affect the news for the year. Stalin also won. Twice. Big fan, are you?

N_F_S, if it floats your boat that Putin's mug is on the cover, more power to you. I merely disabused you of an apparent notion this was considered a high honor, or accolade for great statemanship, etc.

am not, but grateful that he stopped nazis.

So you are the one who decides if that person the good or the ill?

You take the red pill, I take the blue pill, so whats the problem? Was I saying that the list holds only "good" once? no.

Russia become stronger & reacher with Putin, what else do people need? Did he start a war or robbed some country? Is that what you wish to happen or perhaps emphasised on?))

N_F_S, we will have to leave it at this. Given the nature of the Time Magazine distinction, I remain somewhat confused as to the purpose for your thread, but it's your thread, and I have said my peace.

    Best.

NFS, your location says "UK/Russia". Does that mean you are from Russia but emigrated to the UK?

I don't know of a single good thing he did for Russia. I'd gladly move back, seeing how the US is slipping into totalitarianism, but there isn't much to do there, Russia is in a subtle form of Stalinism.

How is it that Putin's enemies frequently die in suspicious circumstances?
