• To have search engine friendly urls, you must have the ability to use Apache's mod_rewrite module. If you do not have this installed the site will still be functional except that your URL's won't be rewritten.

i have a lot of sites hosted on one server so its hard to say how much i pay to host this one site. you could easily get it hosted for 8-10$ a month.
