    Hi,

I've been trying to install Visual Studio 2008 Beta on my Windows Vista Ultimate 64 platform, however I am experiencing problems.

I've looked around for guides and help but so far all have proved unsuccesfull. When i download the: VS90sp1-KB945140-ENU.exe

I am told my system is not applicable to participate, I have removed silverlight and cleared the registry etc, I have 15GB of space and plenty or free ram.

    This site: http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/archive/2008/05/09/visual-studio-and-net-log-collection-utility.aspx

Told me to use the collect.exe program they have and then post the logs on the microsoft problems but so far not had a response there so in desperation i decided to ask you guys :D,

    So here are the logs:

I would be very appreciatve of any help,

    Many thanks

Sorry - I ran into a similar problem using the 32 bit ver... the install froze my system up each time I ran it... I removed it after the first day...

Same story different platform with Microsoft beta launches... Remember when they launched VWD 2003? At first we thought the computer was frozen up - just to realize that time was almost standing still the program hadn't frozen... it was actually just that SLOW!
